Happy Homemaker Monday: April 27, 2020

I've been absent from here...again.
Life just goes way too fast, even during this pandemic/quarantine.

Here is me, promising AGAIN to do better at blogging, ha.

The Weather: Well, we had all four seasons within the last week. Spring makes a comeback today though which means I'm getting out into the garden. Maybe I can finally stop doing the back and forth dance of bring the plants in, take the plants out?

How I am feeling this morning: Rushed and productive. I've been flitting around the house, getting things done Before I leave for work, I have to put tonight's dinner in the crockpot.

On my mind: Mother's Day and sending a card to my Mom, cleaning the house, tonight's dinner, THE GARDEN.

On the breakfast plate: In the breakfast bowl, haha. It was leftover taco soup.

On my reading pile: Oof. I've had zero time to read anything but my Bible. Stay tuned while I rifle through my bookshelf this week.

On my TV: Ditto to TV. I've watched (and rewatched because I keep falling asleep) the same episode of CSI a bunch of times this week. (Poor Grissom, will I ever find out what happens to him?)

On the menu this week: Well, today is Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna and tomorrow is a breakfast casserole...and that's as far as I've gotten. But I'm also cooking chicken stock overnight tonight.

From the camera:

Peonies are my most favorite flowers in the world. I try to have some on the mantel every Spring.

Looking around the house: It's pretty clean, considered Gabe was off all weekend and I swear, the housework kind of goes out the window when he is hanging out with the kids, haha!

Chore I'm not looking forward to this week: The bathtubs. The fridge. Groannnn.

To relax this week, I will: Take long walks with the children. Continue to wake up early and watch the sunrise.

On my prayer list: The country, the world, our leaders. This whole mess. My Mom and siblings. My kids. My husband.

Bible Verse, Devotional:

  5. Hello Lovie! Nice to see you back. The peonies are so beautiful! They are one of the prettiest flowers and I actually just got a new phone case that is peonies! 😊 I'm actually going to be making "lazy lasagna" as I call it, this week too. It's also with ravioli but I bake it. I'll have to think about doing slow cooker next time! Have a blessed week ahead. ❤️
